Setting Up Group Connect: Hotel and Room Codes
Group Connect is the automated bridge between your event’s room block in Resiada and your Marriott property. Once configured, reservations booked through Resiada flow directly into Marriott—no manual re-entry and no exporting files by hand. Getting started involves two steps: first, you specify the Marriott property and the room types your event maps to in Resiada; then, you enable automated delivery so new and updated reservations sync according to the schedule you select. This article covers the first step.
Configure Hotel & Room Block Details
Group Connect uses a few core identifiers to match your Resiada event to the correct Marriott property and room block. These are set once per event, the group code tells Marriott which event to sync reservations into, and the room codes tell it which room type each reservation belongs in.
1. Confirm your Marriott Brand and Hotel Code. Resiada pre-loads both from your property template, just confirm the brand matches your property’s actual Marriott flag and that the five-letter Hotel Code is correct.
2. Enter your Group Code. This comes from Marriott and identifies your specific event block: for MARSHA properties, use the full seven-letter code (e.g., MQNMQNA), not the shortened version (e.g., MQN); for ACRS properties, use the longer alphanumeric code Marriott provided.

3. Map your room codes. Open the Room Blocks step and click into each room type. Name the room name (as per your contract), the Room Code must match Marriott’s system code exactly.

On the Room Blocks step, click a room to open it and set its Room Code , this is what tells Marriott which room type to book.
