Group Manager Dashboard: Configuration

The Group Manager Dashboard (also called the Planner Dashboard) is a self-service portal where a sub block’s group manager can review their hotel and room allotment, manage reservations, and track pickup in real time. Giving your group manager this visibility empowers them to manage their block efficiently, and makes them less dependent on you for day-to-day assistance.

This is what your group manager sees once they’re set up: an overview of their block, reservations, and pickup, down to a live room-night chart and a shareable direct booking link.

STEP 1 Turn On the Sub Block Manager Dashboard

First, you’ll need to turn on the feature in your event settings. This is a one-time toggle at the event level, once it’s on, you can grant or remove dashboard access for individual sub blocks and managers whenever you like.

1.  Head over to the Features tab at the top of your event.

2.  Find the Sub Block Manager Dashboard card and click Activate.

The Sub Block Manager Dashboard card sits under Optional Features on the Features tab.

STEP 2 Configure Your Sub Block Settings

Next, set up the specific sub block that your Sub Block Manager will look after.

1.  Click the Sub Blocks tab in the top menu, then select the sub block you want to manage.

Open Sub Block Manager from the Sub Blocks tab, then click into the sub block your manager will oversee.

2.  Set Visibility to Private, and check Access Via Direct Link. This allows your Sub Block Manager to share a direct booking link with their guests.

Under Sub Block Restrictions, set Visibility to Private and check Access Via Direct Link.

3.  Under Payment Methods, check Request Credit Card From Primary Guest. This lets the sub block manager request individual guests to enter their own card details to guarantee their room.

Requesting a card from the primary guest shifts card collection to each guest instead of the group manager.

STEP 3 Assign a Sub Block Manager

Now you can invite your sub block manager to take control of their sub block.

1.  Scroll down to the Group Manager section and click + Add Another User.

2.  Fill in the manager’s contact info, including their email, name, phone number, and preferred language.

3.  Check the Send Invitation to This Email box, then click Update. Finally, click Save at the bottom of the page.

Fill in your manager’s details and check Send Invitation to This Email before clicking Update.
